Sewing Adventures with Lenni

WHAT: A series of four classes where you will make projects that give you experience with all the basic sewing skills. All wearables you make can be made reflective and fluorescent for better visibility in the streets. Recycled clothing will be used to create brand new garments! Leave with 1 to 4 finished projects - clothing and other wearables that you’ll want to use!

Sewing Circle

COST: It’s free!

Tuesday evenings, once a month, from 5:30-8:30 pm - See the Hive Calendar for dates.

WHAT: This is a drop-in workshop for participants to work on their on-going projects or start new ones. I am there to help participants with problem solving. And participants help each other!

Bike Visibility

COST: It’s free!

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN: You’ll learn how to apply retro-reflective tape, spoke cover and tube covers to make your bike visible in car headlights at night. You’ll also learn how to use lights to Bring in your bike! We’ll brainstorm together to determine what would make your bike the most visible in dark streets.

MATERIALS: Bring your bike with you to class. We help you outfit your bike with spoke reflectors, bike light or reflective materials. You’ll receive a pdf full of information about different products and vender links.

Also given on the same day (probably a Saturday):

• Make your own bike trailer

• Decorate your helmet!
